Privacy Policy for Bootable USB Maker

Effective May 11, 2026

Bootable USB Maker is designed to work locally on your Android device. The app does not collect, sell, share, upload, or transmit personal data. Selected ISO/IMG files and attached USB drives are used only on your device to create bootable USB media.

App Information

This privacy policy applies to Bootable USB Maker, package name com.kenshilabs.bootableusbmaker, published by KenshiLabs.

Information We Do Not Collect

Bootable USB Maker does not collect any of the following:

The app does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, social media SDKs, or tracking frameworks.

Local File and USB Access

When you choose an ISO or IMG file, Android grants the app permission to read that selected file. The file is read locally so the app can write bootable media to the USB drive you select. The app does not upload, copy to a server, analyze remotely, or share the selected file.

When you attach and authorize a USB mass-storage device, the app communicates with that USB drive through Android USB Host mode. This is necessary to format or write bootable media. This processing occurs locally on your device.

Creating boot media can erase or overwrite the selected USB drive. This is a local storage operation controlled by you and does not involve any server-side processing.

Permissions and Their Purpose

Bootable USB Maker requests only permissions needed for its core functionality:

Permission or AccessPurpose
USB HostDetects and communicates with USB mass-storage drives connected through Android OTG.
Selected file accessReads only the ISO/IMG file you choose through Android's system file picker.
Wake LockKeeps the CPU awake during long USB write operations so the process can finish reliably when the screen turns off.

The app does not request Internet permission and does not use a network connection for app functionality.

Third-Party Services

Bootable USB Maker does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising networks, billing systems, cloud storage, or social media services.

If you download the app from Google Play, Google may process information related to your Play Store account, download, device compatibility, and app security according to Google's Privacy Policy. KenshiLabs does not receive or store this information from the app.

Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Bootable USB Maker does not store personal data on KenshiLabs servers. Any temporary operation state remains local to your Android device. Android may remember the file access grant for a selected source image so the app can read it during the write operation. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app removes local app state and Android-granted app access.

Because we do not collect or store personal data, there is no server-side user data to delete.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, transfer, or share personal data with third parties. The app does not transmit your selected files, USB drive information, or app activity to KenshiLabs or to external services.

Security

The app is designed to avoid data transmission entirely. File and USB operations happen locally through Android system APIs. You should only write to USB drives that you own or are authorized to erase.

Children's Privacy

Bootable USB Maker is a utility app and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children or from any other users.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be published at this URL. The effective date at the top of this document will be updated accordingly.
