Quartz Music Player is built with a strict privacy-first philosophy. Unlike many applications that engage in unnecessary or excessive data collection, we do not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal data or user information whatsoever. Your music library, listening habits, and device information remain entirely on your device and are never shared with us or any third party.
Information We Do Not Collect
To be unambiguous, we do not collect any of the following:
- Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, account IDs)
- Device identifiers or fingerprints
- Location data
- Usage analytics, listening history, or behavioral data
- Crash reports or diagnostics
- Advertising identifiers
- Cookies, tracking pixels, or any form of cross-app tracking
No analytics SDKs, no telemetry frameworks, and no third-party trackers are embedded in this application.
Permissions and Their Purpose
Quartz Music Player requests only the minimum permissions necessary for core functionality:

| Internet | Used exclusively for premium license verification via Google Play Billing. No browsing data, analytics, or personal information is sent. |
| Foreground Service | Keeps the audio engine running during playback so music continues when the screen is off. |
| Wake Lock | Prevents the CPU from sleeping during active audio playback to ensure uninterrupted listening. |
| Bluetooth Connect | Enables playback control and audio routing to Bluetooth audio devices. |
| Notifications | Displays media playback controls in the notification shade. |
| USB Host | Enables direct communication with USB DAC hardware for high-resolution audio output. |
Third-Party Services
Quartz Music Player integrates only the following third-party services, solely for purchase functionality:
- Google Play Billing — Processes premium upgrade purchases through the Google Play Store. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your payment information.
- Google Play Integrity — Verifies the authenticity of the application installation. No personal data is collected or transmitted through this service.
No advertising networks, analytics platforms, social media SDKs, or data brokers are integrated into this application.
Data Storage
All application data — including your music library index, equalizer settings, and playback preferences — is stored locally on your device. Nothing is transmitted to external servers. If you uninstall the application, all locally stored data is removed.
Children's Privacy
Quartz Music Player does not collect data from any user, including children. The application is safe for use by individuals of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be published at this URL. The effective date at the top of this document will be updated accordingly.
